Club Information

The American Legend Corvette Club was founded on November 4, 1986 in Morristown, Tennessee  by a small group of Corvette enthusiasts who shared the same desire to promote and enhance the ownership of America’s first sports car.  The club is a not for profit organization and the use of the General Motors trademarks are authorized by Chevrolet Motor Division Trademark Letter of Authorization from Equity Management Inc., dated February 4, 2000.

Today, the club has evolved into a Christian based and family oriented club, comprised of members who believe our Corvette ownership was made possible by God, and through His grace we are able to enjoy these fabulous vehicles.  Our club currently has an active membership of 29 individuals with 24 Corvettes represented.  Our cars range from solid axle to C6.  We are a car club devoted to friendship, fellowship, and the pursuit of enjoyment of our Corvettes.

To provide more opportunity for our members to drive their Corvettes, club meetings are rotated monthly between Morristown, Kingsport and Greeneville, Tennessee.  The Morristown and Greeneville meetings begin at 7:00 PM on the first Monday of the month, except when the first Monday is at the end of a holiday weekend, then the meeting will be on the second Monday of the month.    The Kingsport meetings are at 2:00 PM on the first Saturday of the month and are followed by a club ride to a local event such as the Carter Family Fold or the Elizabethton Cruise-in.

Many of our events involve driving in a caravan to car shows or cruise-ins.  Nothing attracts the attention of other drivers or bystanders quicker than a caravan of Corvettes driving down the road, and being part of a Corvette caravan is a spectacular experience.  In recent years our club trips have included two visits to Corvettes at Carlisle and two visits to the National Corvette Museum and Corvette Assembly Plant in Bowling Green, Ky.  In addition, we have made several overnight trips to regional events such as the Somerset, KY. Cruise-in and the Cleveland, TN. Main Street Cruise-in.
