Club Information

1.

The current policy of awarding a club member a plaque for Outstanding Club Member of the Year is to be discontinued. The executive committee felt we have great participation from most club members and someone’s feelings may be hurt if they aren’t awarded the plaque.

The current policy of sending flowers or making a memorial donation in the event of the death of a club member or a club member’s family is changed to a club member or a club member’s immediate family. Immediate Family is defined as: Mother, Father, Sister, Brother, Children, or Spouse of a club member.

A Memorial Fund will be set up to be used for buying flowers or making memorial donations for a deceased club member or a member of a club member’s immediate family. (Immediate family is defined above.) A maximum of fifty dollars (including the florist’s charge for calls or wiring flower requests out of town) for a floral arrangement or memorial contribution will be spent for each occasion. Donations to the Memorial Fund will be solicited at the next meeting following the death of a club member or a club member’s immediate family. The treasurer will keep a ledger indicating the amount of our funds that are designated for the Memorial Fund.

The club will take up a love offering for a member with a serious hardship.

Dues must be paid by the March meeting in order to remain a voting member. If a person was a member the previous year the full amount of the dues will be required to be paid. New member dues will continue to be pro-rated. Any member being out of the club or not paying dues for the previous twelve (12) months will be treated as a new member.

6.

Members not paying their dues by the March meeting will no longer receive a newsletter and will be considered inactive.

7.

The Club’s Executive Committee will be comprised of all current officers and the immediate past president.

8.

Advance payment for the Christmas Dinner will be required if needed.

9.

When the club orders items, i.e. shirts, calendars, etc. members will pay for the items when they are ordered rather than when they arrive. (Adopted at the August 2, 2004 meeting)

10.

The spouse of a deceased voting member will receive the next calendar year’s membership free.
